Susan Hughes wrote us, “I think as Dane owners we are always trying to find areas where our long legged ‘kids’ can’t reach and I was no different. Bringing in an adult Great Dane I thought was ideal. No chewing, no potty issues, no stealing food and household items, boy was I wrong. As soon as Mufasa came in the house he challenged us on all of that! After months of him teaching us that “yes” he can reach this or that I thought I had him stumped. But, Mufasa decided to test us one again on just how great his skills were. I put a bag of vine ripened tomatoes on top of our 6 foot refrigerator thinking he could never possibly be able to reach this! Well, I guess he proved me wrong because I came home from work to find an opened bag of tomatoes all picked from the vine sitting on the hardwood floors in front of the refrigerator. I called up hubby and said ‘You won’t believe what Mu did this time? He got the tomatoes off the refrigerator.’”

I had a Dane once who ate an entire pot roast that was cooling on top of the fridge….Man, I miss that dog!!!
I’m a new Dane owner…My new mantra, “Why stress when it’s plain and simply…Funny.”
And I can’t wait!!!
Bentley is just now reaching the countertops and I can’t help thinking “Boy, are we in for it”
