You just know that she’s “gonna win”. Kudos to mom for taking all these photos – your daughter will treasure them even more in future years – as will you.

Danes are THE most wonderful dogs and every home should have at least one. There are many, many in rescue now looking for homes. Are you right for a Dane?

What joyful memories the little one will have of being with her best buddy!

My girl has the same love for our Dane and he for her. It really is the most wonderful thing!! People with Danes are blessed with so much love, laughter, and devotion!

Thanks so very much for sharing another of Chantel Johnson’s photos. Today’s cartoon was sweet but this Dane is something so very special.

I love what Renee wrote: “Are you right for a Dane?” It amazes me the diversity of attachments we humans have to different breeds — and to individuals within the breeds. My first love is Boxers, but it sure was fun watching (and patting and being licked by) a wide variety of show, rescue and regular dogs of all shapes and sizes and colors and countenances at Houston’s dog show yesterday. I can see why it’s tempting to become an animal hoarder! :-) As I mentioned under yesterday’s Dane cartoon, it was a treat seeing so many of these gentle giants in one (huge) room.

No one wins a tug-of-war!

Oh how fun to see my two loves at your site again today! Indeed it is so amazing to watch these two grow up together. My first Great Dane came to our home when I was 10 years old and she became my instant friend and constant compaion for the next ten years. I hope Celeste’s puppy Andreas will live a long healthy life so she can remember him when she grows up. Danes are such special dogs and in the right home with the right folks there is no other dog like them. Dogs are a part of my being, but Danes really touch something inside me.
